There will be many parents involved with making and preparing appeals for a place at secondary schools in September. For some the closing date for lodging an appeal has passed or is coming up shortly.

If you have missed the closing date do not panic; by missing the closing date you do not lose the right to an appeal but it may be that your appeal may not be heard at the same time as other appeals.

Once the closing date has passed you will be provided with a later date whereby any additional information can be provided. To be successful, to you will need to ensure that not only do you put forward a good and strong case but also that it is well evidenced.

And do not forget to question and challenge the admission authority’s case when you receive it. However, to do this successfully you will need to carry out significant research before the appeal.

It is not too late to contact School Appeals if you need any help with your appeal.
